Once a fragmented, vehicle-dominated thoroughfare, Chichester Corridor is being reimagined as a vibrant community spine. This walkable, mixed-use district seamlessly integrates green infrastructure, ground-floor commerce, and diverse public spaces to cultivate sustained civic connection and urban vitality.

CO-CIVIC STUDY

Interconnected Landscapes

Located along the Colorado River, the Town of Parachute implemented an ambitious active mobility corridor. This layout establishes scenic pedestrian corridors and dedicated cycling infrastructure designed to link historical urban pockets back to the natural wild beauty of the waterways.

In Monte Vista, the grid system was repurposed to enhance active regional transit. The municipal model demonstrates how thoughtful wayfinding and robust, low-impact road lanes safely bring people back into local commercial zones on foot and on wheels.
