UC Studios approached MassPort’s Environmental Management System as an operational framework for embedding environmental performance into everyday transportation and facility management. The work connected regulatory compliance, infrastructure planning, performance measurement, and sustainability goals so environmental priorities could be managed systematically across complex aviation, maritime, freight, and transportation operations.
Working with CDC Consulting, UC Studios supported development of the Environmental Management System by helping define environmental priorities, implementation procedures, performance indicators, and coordinated management practices across MassPort facilities. The framework addressed the relationship between transportation operations, facility systems, regulatory requirements, and environmental impacts, providing a structured process for tracking performance, improving operational practices, reducing risk, and advancing measurable sustainability objectives over time.
