Jenkintown-Wyncote Station Improvement

Montgomery County, Pennsylvania | 2010

UC Studios approaches station improvement as an opportunity to strengthen both regional mobility and the daily experience of surrounding communities. We integrate rail operations, multimodal access, land use, environmental conditions, neighborhood connections, and public engagement to identify improvements that serve passengers, residents, and future growth. This process helps transform transit stations into accessible, connected hubs within the broader community.

Working with Gannett Fleming, UC Studios evaluated the regional, land-use, environmental, and community impacts of proposed improvements to SEPTA’s Jenkintown–Wyncote Station. The work combined station-area planning with public outreach to assess accessibility, surrounding development patterns, neighborhood connections, and the station’s role in the regional rail network. The resulting analysis informed strategies to enhance mobility, support community needs, and reinforce Jenkintown–Wyncote as a connected multimodal hub.
